Usually when someone decides to join a network marketing company

selling soap, healthcare items, personal development, telephones,

or any other plethora of items they have been told they can get

rich beyond their wildest dreams.

Say it isn't so! Oh, come on, you know it's true. I think

99.999% have told a prospect at one time or another they can get

wealthy beyond their wildest dreams if they set themselves up on

auto-ship and buy the latest greatest book and tape on the market

today. Oh and don't forget you have to make a list of your 500

friends, relatives and schoolmates you haven't seen since the

first grade!

OK OK... I might be exaggerating a bit, however the upline has

given specific instructions on how to become successful in any

venture that you start.

So why is it that no-one except the elite few in most

organizations make pennies instead of dollars?

There are two schools of thought. One is, sell the opportunity.

Never let the prospect think of anything else but quitting the

J.O.B. and staying at home to collect the big residual checks.

Next thought is, Sell the Product! Sell, Sell, Sell. If you sell

3,000 folks this $99 bottle of the latest potion or gadgetry you

too can be out in the Caribbean on your yacht --- month after

month.

So, what is the problem? This is only my opinion, but I think it

boils down to one thing. Most new recruits lose interest after

their phone calls and cries for help go unanswered by their up- line.

Ok Scott, what do you mean, I talked to Fred and Jane the other

day and asked them why they hadn't shown the opportunity to 17

families in the past 5 days! I showed them how to draw circles

and bring others into the business. I showed them the benefits

of our Nifty Swifty Toilet Bowl Cleaner and that it uses 1/4

ounce less than the famous store brand. What do you mean I let

them lose interest?

Sure we show our new recruits the benefits of using our products,

show them the comp plan and set them on their merry way. But, do

we show them how to recruit others so they are not burning their

bridges with their friends and relatives? Do we spend an hour or

two with them making phone calls to interested individuals?

So if you haven't figured out already, this is a people business

and folks are dying on the vine because we as a whole are too

busy moving on to the next new recruit, instead of nurturing our

own crop of excited folks.

Success is not based on the newest and greatest comp plan in the

industry. It is not based upon selling (which by the way no-one

likes to do) the greatest supplement or cleaner or telephone or

personal development plan in the market today.

Success is based by our up-line taking full responsibility and

leadership by spending time and educating instead of trying to

sell us. There are organizations on the net that conduct generic

no company specific teaching and mentoring. There are pay for

learning organizations, and there are free ones with no agenda

but helping others develop their potential.

Personally, I recommend the free ones, everyone has already paid

the entrance fee and want some help now! That makes sense to me.

I think the following is so important, I am going to step outside

of my norm and highly recommend you download the following free

e-book:

In my research, I found a simple way of categorizing those that

we talk with. I have found a totally free, generic, no company

mentioned, not gonna sell you anything, free e-book that can be

downloaded that will explain in detail how to immediately be in- sync with your prospects. Again, here is the link:

This e-book called "Success In 10 Steps" was written by Michael

DLouhy who has over 26 years experience in the networking

business. This is a gem of a book. I highly recommend reading

it if you are a "newbie" or even a "seasoned salt" in the

business for quite a while.

Here's to your success.
